If you search for "citizen science" in a search engine, you will find a multitude of choices. I chose Zooniverse because of its diversity of super cool projects around the world.

Adafruit - From dev boards to neopixels and learning guides, Adafruit has everything you need to build electronic projects.
Printables - Pretty much the same as the above, but there are models I've found here that aren't on Thingiverse... and vise versa.
PropWiki - Tricorder builds... what can I say?
Thingiverse - An impressive repository of 3D objects all ready to print. You can find tools, mods, and models for whatever your wants and needs.
